Fourth Grade Newsletters April 21 – April 25, 2008
Religion:We will begin Ch. 16 “Signs of God’s Love” pgs. 199-209 this week. The test will be on Monday, 4/28/08. Remember to check out www.FaithFirst.com for games and extra practice. If you do not have internet access please fill out the form at the end of this newsletter and I will continue to provide a hard copy. Reading:We are beginning a new novel study Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan. We will be reading in class as well as at home. Please encourage your child to keep up with the nightly reading assignments. We will be addressing new vocabulary, completing comprehension activities, and responding to several writing prompts in our reading response logs. This novel study will fulfill the Monthly Book Report (Historical Fiction) along with 1 AR test requirements for March. Dear Parents, Next week will be filled with various holiday activities. Our schedule will be interrupted by concerts, play practices and special activities. Our Class Christmas Party will take place on Tuesday afternoon. Our tentative plans for the week include: Religion: We will continue our discussion of Advent and we will be reading and writing about the Christmas Story.
