Welcome to Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School.
It is hard to believe that the summer is almost over. We have been busy getting everything ready for the beginning of the new school year. Mr. Baker and his son Zachary have been working hard painting and cleaning the classrooms. Mrs. Hart, Mrs. Ramkissoon and I have been ordering textbooks and getting everything ready to welcome the students, parents and staff back in August. We have been busy interviewing teachers to fill our open positions and I look forward to introducing our new teachers to you at the Open House. Each Class will have Teacher Assistant hours and assignments will be completed soon. We also will be welcoming our new Pre-K families as well as several other new families in grades K-5 The OLA-PTO has lots of exciting things planned for this year. We are adding a BBQ to our Fall Festival and will once again have a Multicultural Festival and BBQ in the spring. The annual summer mailing was posted on July 24. I understand that somehow the Post Office delayed the delivery of these and some of you either received it more than a week later or possible not at all. There is much important information in this packet and I urge you to take the time to go through it carefully. Much of the packet has also been put on this website. There is a school calendar posted on the web site. Please remember to check the OLA website frequently for the latest news and information about OLA. Thanks for visiting,
Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School (grades PK through 5) is a private, Catholic elementary school that is part the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools (MACS). We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS-CASI).
